Covid-19: Border staff could be fined for refusing tests

From Morning Report, 8:10 am on 7 September 2020

From today, New Zealand border staff can be fined if they do not agree to be tested for Covid-19.

In a new health order, staff at airports, managed isolation facilities and Auckland ports will be tested every one or two weeks depending on their place of work.

If the test is refused, an employee can be fined up to $1000.
