Aucklanders could be forgiven for thinking homelessness is on the rise with a noticable increase in people on the street over the past few weeks.
Businesses along Karangahape Road - an area typically welcoming of rough sleepers - are reporting a spike in antisocial behaviour.
However, agencies working with the homeless say those who want to be housed have been - and they're sleeping in motels at night.
