Search continues for missing cattle ship

From Morning Report, 8:09 am on 4 September 2020

The search is continuing for possible survivors of a cargo ship that went missing during a typhoon off the coast of Asia.

It had around 40 people, including two New Zealanders, on board, and almost 6000 cattle.

The Ministry for Primary Industries announced last night it is putting all cattle livestock export applications on hold.

The Green Party says the missing ship underlines the need to ban all live stock exports.
