James Shaw has spent the best part of the last week floating out to sea while his own party and ministerial colleagues watched from the safety of the shore.
After trying to get support from his Labour and New Zealand First colleagues to kill an $11.7 million grant to the private Taranaki Green School, the best the Green Party co-leader could offer was a series of apologies and a promise to never do it again.
