Covid-19: Female skipper needs to retrain after job loss

Women who've lost their jobs due to Covid-19 are being forced to either retrain or to take on work that's well below their skill level.

Women employment has been disproportionately affected by the pandemic, with female-dominated sectors like hospitality and tourism among the hardest hit.

For boat captain Sarah Robinson, things couldn't have been going better before the virus made it to New Zealand. \

She told RNZ reporter Matthew Theunissen about her experience.
