Chch mosque shooting: Victim shares how he tried to save 3yo

A survivor of the Christchurch mosque shootings has described how he tried in vain to save a three-year-old boy during the attack.

The sentencing of the Australian terrorist, Brenton Harrison Tarrant, has been underway this week, with 56 victim impact statements delivered so far.

Among those heard by the High Court in Christchurch yesterday was that of Nathan Smith, a Muslim convert, who was at the Al Noor Mosque on 15 March, 2019.

Smith told Tarrant that because of him, his faith has grown stronger.
