Covid-19: Four extra days of subsidy would be 'entirely different process' - Robertson

From Morning Report, 7:19 am on 26 August 2020

Finance Minister Grant Robertson has revealed the two weeks at Alert Level 3 in Auckland has caused an estimated $1 billion hit to the economy, with each week costing $500 million.

The National Party's finance spokesman Paul Goldsmith says the government isn't taking responsibility for the economic fallout.

The party also thinks the resurgence wage subsidy should have been provided for the entire eighteen days of the Auckland Alert Level 3 lockdown period, not just two weeks.
