Research by the internet watchdog, Netsafe suggests almost one third of New Zealanders have shared fake news stories or inaccurate information with others.
Its new campaign, Your News Bulletin, claims native snakes have been discovered in New Zealand as a tongue-in-cheek dig at fake claims.
