Covid-19: Government tweaks business loan scheme

From Morning Report, 8:10 am on 21 August 2020

The Government has made changes to a loan scheme for companies to help them recover from Covid-19.

The Business Finance Guarantee Scheme supports the provision of bank loans to viable operations, encouraging banks to lend where otherwise they may not have.

Longer loan terms and a higher maximum loan - $5 million rather than $500,000 - are among the changes.
