Referendum campaigners are urgently seeking clarification on how they can proceed with the election date moved back by a month.
Registered campaigners can only spend $330,000 in the three months to the election, and say they now need clarity about how that might change.
They also say they need the chance to talk to voters face to face, or risk failing to help some people make informed decisions.
