The National Party's deputy and campaign manager says he was not undermining trust in the media, but was merely "stating a fact" when he said the cards are "stacked in Labour's favour" for the election - in part due to "a favourable media".
Gerry Brownlee made the claim in a fundraising email sent to National Party supporters.
