A person in managed isolation at Auckland's Rydges Hotel says guests are under much tighter restrictions since a hotel worker tested positive for the coronavirus.
Officials are stumped about how the maintenance worker came to be infected with the same strain as a woman who returned from the United States in late July.
The Minister responsible for isolation facilities says the case is not linked to any incident, system breakdown or any wider outbreak at this stage.
Tan Copsey is a returning New Zealander and is currently in managed isolation at the Rydges Hotel.
