Farmers straddling the Auckland-Waikato regional boundary are frustrated they haven't been able to check stock or get essential supplies because of the Alert Level 3 restrictions.
Auckland Federated Farmers president Alan Cole says they want to follow the rules, but getting clear and accurate information has been difficult.
He told RNZ reporter Sarah Robson the restrictions don't really take into account the practical reality of farming in the area.
