Covid-19: Election decision a compromise - Mike Williams

A former Labour Party president says the Prime Minister's decision to postpone the election by four weeks is a sensible compromise.

The country will now go to the polls on 17 October instead of 19 September.

Since Auckland went back into Alert Level 3, Jacinda Ardern has been under pressure from other political parties to delay voting day.

Mike Williams is a former Labour Party president from 2000 to 2009.

He speaks to Susie Ferguson.
