Covid-19: Political campaigns halted temporarily after community transmission

Politicans have put a temporary halt to campaigning following the discovery of four positive cases of Covid-19 not linked to managed isolation.

The Labour Party has announced it will suspend the campaign for three days.

National's Judith Collins announced they've cancelled today's election events and says the party will be seeking an explanation for the situation the country is now in. 

The Green Party has suspended in person campaigning subject to health advice. 

The ACT party will meet today to discuss the future of its campaign. 

New Zealand First has announced a temporary suspension of its campaign - their last stop before the suspension was Palmerston North yesterday.
