The people of Lebanon are calling for justice after Wednesday's huge blast that killed 145, injured more than 5 thousand and destroyed large parts of the capital, Beirut.
A quarter of a million people are now homeless and many are accusing the authorities and politicians of corruption, mismanagement and neglect.
The French president, Emmanuel Macron has flown to Lebanon where he has visited the port area. During his visit he was mobbed by hundreds of people pleading for help.
One person shouted out to him: "Help us, you are our only hope," "Please don't give money to our corrupt government,"
Speaking to media afterwards he said France, which ruled Lebanon for much of the early 20th century, stands in deep solidarity with Lebanon.
