Satellites in space have discovered 11 new emperor penguin colonies in Antarctica - boosting previous recorded numbers by 20 percent.
They were found due the birds excrement which has a distinct red-brown colour on the ice.
Doctor Peter Fretwell from the British Antarctic Survey led the research.
