Building begins on New Zealand's first bio-energy facility

From Morning Report, 8:45 am on 6 August 2020

A large scale bio-energy facility is being built in the Waikato town of Reporoa. The plant will take 75,000 tonnes of food waste from around the North Island and transform it into energy to power Kiwi homes. It will also produce fertiliser for farms in the area as a natural bi-product. Andrew Fisher is the director of Ecogas.
