A leading sleep research centre is facing changes that could undermine its worldwide status.
Massey University wants to absorb the Sleep Wake centre into another department due to a shortfall in funding.
It says this will make no difference to the research, but others fear it will possibly curtail a pioneering attempt to combat fatigue in public hospitals.
