Principals want to see the end of communities of learning

From Morning Report, 6:49 am on 3 August 2020

The Principals Federation wants the government to stop spending a hundred-million-dollars a year on the previous government's flagship education scheme, the communities of learning.

The scheme pays nearly three-thousand teachers and principals to lead work in more than 200 clusters of schools known as communities of learning or kahui ako.

Perry Rush from the Principals Federation told RNZ education correspondent John Gerritsen the programme is not good enough to justify the spending.
