Covid-19: National Party wants managed isolation charges to go further

From Morning Report, 8:09 am on 30 July 2020

The government's proposed plan to charge discretionary travellers for mandatory quarantine has divided parliament.

The National Party says it would charge anyone coming into New Zealand $3,000 for the two-week stay.

Leader Judith Collins said the plan is "complete nonsense," while New Zealand First called it "dreadful."

The Green Party, meanwhile, thinks the plan is fair.
