An advocate for small business is one of many raising questions about aspiring business people getting access to their KiwiSaver funds for new projects.
The National Party is proposing a "BusinessStart" programme that would allow people who lose their jobs to take $20,000 from their KiwiSaver accounts and receive another $10,000 in tax credits to get their own small business off the ground.
Max Whitehead, from the advocacy group Small Business Voice, says the tax incentives would be helpful but he has concerns about people drawing on their retirement funds.
