Covid-19: 'Negligence' blamed for spike in Germany

The head of Germany's public health agency says peoples' "negligence" is to blame for a worrying rise in coronavirus cases in the country.

Germany has seen a surge in new cases over the last week, recording 3,611 new infections.

Lothar Wieler says he's "very concerned" by the rising infections and urged people to wear masks and respect social distancing.

Berlin correspondent Thomas Sparrow speaks to Corin Dann.
