National Party MPs defend their culture

From Morning Report, 7:09 am on 22 July 2020

National Party MPs are defending the culture within their party, as the fall out from Andrew Falloon's disgraced exit from politics continues.

The Rangitata MP quit yesterday, following mounting pressure over a pornographic image he'd sent to a young woman, and whether he'd been upfront with his leader and police about the extent of it.

Three more women have now come forward with similar experiences, and the police say they are now seeking more information.

The party is working to distance itself from Falloon - saying that his actions don't speak to the party's culture.
