A far-right terrorist who opened fire on a synagogue in the German city of Halle has cited the Christchurch mosque shooting as inspiration for his crime.
The suspect made the claims in the first day of the trial which began on Tuesday.
Stefan Balliet is charged with double murder after he attempted to shoot his way into a synanogue during Yom Kippur in October 2019.
