New Zealand has been confirmed as the preferred host of a centralised Rugby Championship later this year, pending government approval.
Competition managers Sanzaar have been working on a hub to host the All Blacks, South Africa, Australia and Argentina due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Sports minister Grant Robertson says the government is open to the idea, but it will need to ensure facilities are available so players can isolate and train when they arrive in the country.
