Covid-19: Ardern warns Kiwis not to get complacent

From Morning Report, 6:41 am on 16 July 2020

The Prime Minister is warning New Zealanders not to be complacent in the battle against Covid 19 and as part of that warning she is quoting economist Rodney Jones.

Jones early on warned the government about the need to go into lockdown.

He says with more and more New Zealanders returning from places where the virus is increasing exponentially, the public has to accept there could be a new outbreak.

Ardern says the pattern of returnees carrying the virus reflects the state of Covid-19 in the world.
