ACT Party promises to overturn firearms legislation

From Morning Report, 8:22 am on 13 July 2020

The ACT Party is promising to overturn firearms legislation drafted in response to the Mosque attacks, a focus on gangs and guns instead, employment insurance and tax reforms in a bid to secure voters support in September.

The party held its campaign launch yesterday in Auckland, where it outlined some new policies to a crowd of 600 supporters.

It is polling around three percent, which would give it four MPs, as long as leader David Seymour retains his Epsom seat.

Seymour speaks to Gyles Beckford.
