The Royal Commission into the Attack on the Christchurch Mosques has revealed it has interviewed the man who shot 51 people dead at Al Noor and Linwood mosques last year.
Brenton Tarrant's guilty plea in March to 51 charges of murder, 40 charges of attempted murder and a charge of engaging in a terrorist act means he will not stand trial.
A sister of one of the victims shot dead at Al Noor mosque says the Commission's report will be the only way to get answers about the murder of her brother Hussein Al-Umari.
Hussein's sister, Aya Al-Umari told RNZ reporter Rachel Thomas a lot is riding on the report.
