Former All Black and Warriors rugby league player Sir John Kirwan has given the thumbs to a proposed All Black versus Kangaroos cross-code clash being touted for December.
New Zealand Rugby chief executive Mark Robinson has confirmed they have been approached by Australian rugby league officials and a hybrid match is one of several revenue generating options being considered.
Australian media reports have suggested a 14 a side match has been pencilled in for early December and Sir John Kiwan told sports editor Stephen Hewson he likes the idea.
