Commentators on National Party's poll boost

Returning to our story now on the latest political poll.

The National Party is up nine percentage points in the first 1 News Colmar Brunton poll since Todd Muller rolled Simon Bridges to take the leadership.

It is still lagging 12 points behind the Labour Party, which has 50 percent support. Labour's Coalition partners the Greens are at 6 percent and New Zealand First on 2 percent.
