Those who work at the country's borders are in line to get tested for Covid-19 tests a lot more often, but they are yet to hear details of how the government's new regime will affect them.
The Government announced on Tuesday that it will routinely test front-line staff who deal with the thousands of people returning from global hotspots.
As well as those those working in managed isolation or quarantine hotels, drivers who transport new arrivals from the airport will be tested at higher rates, while flight crews returning from any at-risk country will have to return a negative test before they are allowed home.
E tu's head of aviation, Savage, told RNZ reporter Matthew Theunissen last night that it's still unclear how the new rules will work.
