There's been a dramatic change to the criteria for having a Covid-19 test - and it means a lot fewer people will get one.
The Ministry of Health will no longer require people with any cold or cough or flu symptom to get a swab unless they are high risk.
Instead, the focus will be on those with connections to travel or to the border.
Leading public health doctor Nick Wilson told RNZ health correspondent Rowan Quinn he was in favour of the changes.
