West Aucklanders are rallying around their local police officers as they come to terms with the killing of a young constable during a routine traffic stop.
A 24-year-old man has been charged with murdering 28-year-old Matthew Hunt.
A 30-year-old woman has also been arrested in relation to the shooting and is due to appear in court this morning.
At the Henderson Police station, the flags are being flown at half mast and locals have continuing to stop by - leaving flowers and paying their respects.
