Travel agent aguishes over laying off staff

From Morning Report, 6:10 am on 19 June 2020

The number of people  looking for work in Taranaki has jumped 25.6 percent since just before the Covid-19 lockdown to total more than 9700 on 5 June - with Māori and people under the age of 30 the worst hit.

Tracey Edgecombe has been in the travel business for more than 15 years and the owner operator of House of Travel in New Plymouth for about 18 months.

She says the decision to lay off half her team is one of the hardest she's ever had to make.

Taranaki Whanganui reporter Robin Martin asked Edgecombe how Covid-19 has changed her business.
