Police on Armed Response Teams failed to record their call outs properly on almost every occasion during the trial's first two months.
The six month experiment , which equipped officers with guns on their hips at all times, ended in April.
Officers were expected to record each call out but after the first two months, data from five out of every six call outs was missing.
Police did not provide RNZ with the rate of responses for the rest of the trial.
