Black Lives Matter protests continue in New York

From Morning Report, 7:09 am on 3 June 2020

New York has seen more looting in the wake of the death of Minneapolis man George Floyd, despite a curfew designed to maintain order in the city.

It comes after Donald Trump threatened to deploy the military against protesters.

Looting took place in the wealthy area of Manhattan.

The city's curfew has since been moved to 8pm in an attempt to quell the unrest.
