Weekend rain brings a bit of hope for farmers

From Morning Report, 7:43 am on 2 June 2020

The weekend's rain has had a patchy impact for farmers battling drought conditions - a good amount for some, and barely a change for others.

In the east of Northland, for example, MetService says there was up 120mm of rain compared with the west which had about 10-20mm.

Meanwhile, in Hawkes Bay a solid rain of around 45mm fell.
