From Morning Report, 7:15 am on 2 June 2020

An intensifying chaos has gripped America's largest cities as demonstrators and police clash over the death of George Floyd.

Dozens of American cities have introduced curfews as violence and looting saw the deployment of the National Guard to 26 states and the District of Columbia.

In Minneapolis, where Floyd died, Police Chief Medaria Arradondo said all four officers involved in the death of Floyd were "complicit," including the three who haven't been arrested.

US President Donald Trump was relocated to an underground bunker beneath the White House on Friday night when protesters surrounded the executive mansion.

The president limited his communications with the public so far to posts on Twitter.
