With 30,000 more people on the jobseeker benefit in just four weeks, the government is ramping up its efforts to get people who have found themselves out of work into jobs.
The Social Development Minister, Carmel Sepuloni, has launched a new website to match them up more quickly with employers with vacancies.
The Security Association is one of those already advertising on the site and its chief executive, Gary Morrison, told RNZ social issues reporter, Sarah Robson, they're actively recruting more staff.
