Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is expected to announce new border restrictions for people coming into New Zealand topday, to counter the escalating global spread of Covid-19.
Yesterday the World Health Organisation labelled the outbreak a global pandemic and Donald Trump announced the United States will suspend all travel from Europe to the United States for the next 30 days because of the coronavirus.
The numbers in New Zealand have remained static at five confirmed cases and two probable cases.
