European shares suffer biggest slump in years
European shares have today had their biggest one-day slump since the UK voted to leave the EU in 2016 after the jump in coronavirus cases rattled investors. In London the FTSE 100 recorded its worst one-day performance in more than four-and-a-half years. The Dow Jones followed suit, opening nearly 3 per cent down Financial Times markets editors Michael Mackenzie speaks to Corin Dann
