Thousands of people are expected at Parliament today to celebrate RNZ Concert's 87th birthday.
Plans were made to throw a 'birthday bash' for New Zealand's only classical and jazz station after its existence was threatened with the announcement of a new youth channel.
Composer, performer and avid supporter of Concert, Claire Cowan, is flying in for the event where performers are promising to make the biggest noise heard in Wellington for some time.
