Vapers face tighter regulations on flavours, access, advertising

From Morning Report, 7:46 am on 24 February 2020

New legislation is planned to further regulate vaping and e-cigarettes.

It will include a tightening of age restrictions, barring advertising and regulating where they can be sold and used.

Sales will be restricted to people 18 and over, the flavours will be limited to specialist stores and vaping will be banned in smokefree areas.

The bill is being introduced to Parliament today, before it's first reading in March.
