Prime Minister anticipates Covid-19 travel ban will continue

From Morning Report, 7:16 am on 24 February 2020

Cabinet will decide today whether to extend the temporary travel restrictions put in place to curb the spread of Covid-19, which are due to expire tonight.

Currently, any foreign travellers who left or travelled through mainland China after 2 February are banned from entry to New Zealand.

That's due to be reviewed today, although Jacinda Ardern told Corin Dann she anticipates it will remain in place for a short period of time.
