The 28-year-old man - who has continued name suppression - was found guilty after a three-week trial in the High Court at Auckland last November.
Ms Millane disappeared from Auckland's CBD in December 2018 on the eve of her 22nd birthday.
A missing persons investigation morphed into a homicide inquiry after her body was found in the Waitakere Ranges. The case will come to a close today when the man appears for sentencing this morning.
