Hundreds of jobs could be axed from healthcare provider

Two hundred jobs could be axed from a regional healthcare provider.

Healthcare NZ provides home care and support to vulnerable people and also runs community houses for people with disabilities.

But a new proposal would see its services centralised in Auckland and many of its admin staff and service managers lose their jobs.

Melissa Wooley from the Public Service Association, the union representing the workers, speaks to Susie Ferguson.
