UK Labour's 'red wall' crumbles in heavy election defeat

The UK Labour Party suffered a heavy defeat in last week's election with historic Labour strongholds falling to the Conservatives.

Labour's "red wall" across the Midlands and the north of England crumbled as the Tories claimed key marginal seats in what was a landslide victory for the party.
