Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says she backs her minister Stuart Nash, despite opposition MPs calling for him to resign over a data breach involving the gun buyback.
Ms Ardern told Morning Report the data breach was the fault of a private company, not the government.
"There is absolutely no reason why the Police Minister needs to take any responsibility for this."
