A challenge of a different kind was put to Prince Charles at Waitangi yesterday - to lend one of his sons to Aotearoa to be a governor-general.
The request came from Ngāti Hine kaumatua, Waihoroi Shortland.
Some thought it a cheeky suggestion but Mr Shortland told our Māori news director Māni Dunlop he was being serious.
